In Curvy Knits: Plus-size Knitting, you’ll learn to select the perfect pattern for your shape and to make easy fit adjustments to bust, sleeves, neckline and other trouble spots. You’ll learn how to transform swatching from a boring chore into a valuable tool. You’ll use your favorite sweater, right out of your closet, to tell you things you never knew about yourself. Get advice and help from Marly as you learn the same techniques knitwear designers use for a perfect fit and finish every time.
Note: Must have knit at least one sweater and know how to increase, decrease and read a pattern.

 8014 Easy Crochet Chart Sampler Are you a beginner ready to take your skills to the next level but not ready to jump into garments? Have you ever looked at a pattern and seen a crochet chart and thought it was some sort of Klingon language? Then this is the class for you! In this class you will learn how to read a crochet stitch chart for 9 different stitches varying from simple to complex. Learning how to read a crochet stitch chart makes the question “where do I put that stitch” no longer just guess work. Don’t let those swatches go to waste! As you learn the stitches in class, Marly shows you how to take that knowledge and put it into action by making a Stitch Sampler Baby Blanket. Instructions are given in the handout for full size sample stitch squares that can be seamed together to make a blanket.

Saturday 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm  8033 Intermediate Curvy Crochet: How to fit crochet sweaters Have you ever spent time and yarn money to crochet a sweater that you never wear because it stretched, feels funny, or makes you look massive?In Curvy Crochet learn how to make adjustments to armholes, the neckline, and other trouble spots that will help your finished garments look wonderful. Learn how to use crochet charts to help shape a garment, calculate the shape of a cap sleeve, and alter necklines. This is a fast-paced class with a lot of information but you will not be disappointed. Leave this class with more tools in your crocheter’s tool box to make better fitting sweaters.
