Description —       If you’re smitten with mittens then you will be gleeful about gloves! Don’t let all those fingers frighten you away from these wonderful winter accessories. Marly Bird will show you how to turn any mitten pattern into a glove (or fingerless glove if texting is your thing) and help you master fingers and eliminate holes.

Curvy Knits

Description —        Have you ever spent time and yarn money to knit a sweater that you never wear because it stretched, or feels funny, or makes you look massive? In Curvy Knits learn fit adjustments to waist, bust, set in sleeves, neckline and other trouble spots that will make your finished garments look wonderful. In class learn how to calculate horizontal bust darts, calculate the shape of a cap sleeve, and alter necklines.  This is a fast-paced class with a lot of information but you will not be disappointed.  Leave this class with more tools in your knitter’s tool box to make better fitting sweaters.     Length (hrs) —      3

Twist and Turns: Cables

Description —       Knitted cables and braids make some of the prettiest and most complex looking knitted stitch patterns. The secret? They’re easier than they look. You’ll learn about the history of cables while knitting samples that can be turned into a hat or scarf. You’ll leave with the confidence and understanding of the importance of gauge, how to create cables with and without a cable needle, and how to read cable charts.     Length (hrs) —       3

Fair Isle Cables

Description  —     This is a little fancy knitting with traditional techniques, the Dual Cable class teaches knitters how to work with two colors at the same time while adding cables to the knitting. It is a new adventure in knitting for many and one that you will want to take many times over. On this adventure you learn how to make your very own pair of boot toppers!       Length (hrs)  —   3




  Crochet Chart Breakdown

In this class you will learn how to read a crochet stitch chart for 9 different stitches varying from simple to complex. Learning how to read a crochet stitch chart makes the question “where do I put that stitch” no longer just guess work. Don’t let those swatches go to waste! As you learn the stitches in class, Marly shows you how to take that knowledge and put it into action by making a Stitch Sampler Baby Blanket. Instructions are given in the handout for full size sample stitch squares that can be seamed together to make a blanket. That’s not all!
