Just Back from Africa, Tell Us StevenBe

Just Back from Africa, Tell Us StevenBe, all about everything on the Yarn Thing podcast with Marly Bird. sb_new

Steven Berg told us at Stitches United that he was about to take a trip to South Africa to research Mohair and he will be having some featured in his shop in Minneapolis, according to the shop’s Facebook page.

Because of the unique sense of play he puts together, he’s been asked lend his magic to Stitches Midwest in support of Halos of Hope, with contest that is BeYond. The goal is to raise money for hats to be shipped to the various cancer centers around the country.  There is more information at THIS LINK (takes you to Halos of Hope’s Website). Participating are Universal Yarns, Purl Soho, Three Irish Girls, Draw Four in launching this event.

He has a cruise sailing away to Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico from Orlando on October 29 to November 5th. He’ll be teaching with Rebecca Combs and Cascade Yarns is a sponsor. Check out the website for more information.

There is a recent announcement, too, that he will be part of Knit Stars 2.0 with friend and queen of brioche, Nancy Marchant, in the first free video!

StevenBe has a website: www.stevenbe.com Also Check out StevenBe.TV where the motto is: All the class and twice the sass for your viewing pleasure! His shop StevenBe, is a converted firehouse in downtown Minneapolis. If you happen to be in the area, the shop address and hours are listed here. I’m so excited to heat a shout out for my LYS Loops in Tulsa, OK and Shelley Brander. I’ve already signed up for Knit Stars! And I first learned to knit when Steven and Stephen came to Tulsa, so I could participate in their workshop. Looking forward to the next glitter adventure with StevenBe!

That was a fun podcast for sure. I was smiling the whole time on my drive to work! If ever I get to visit Minneapolis Steven’s shop would be a must see. Would have to buy his glitter just so that I can tell everyone it is unicorn snot (that just brings a kaleidoscope of colors and pictures to my mind)! Thank you Marly and Steven for a very enjoyable podcast.

Steven Be is glitter personified! I’m always so amazed at how much he always has going on. He and his booth are one of my favorite stops at Stitches West.
