About Mason Dixon Knitting:

How It All Began In 2003, we started a blog, Mason-Dixon Knitting.

As daily, obsessed knitters, we “met” on the Internet and thought it would be fun to share our profound and awesome knitting thoughts with the entire world. Before long, we found ourselves amid a warm, friendly, and smart community of knitters.

It was all virtual—we didn’t meet in person until 2004, after we had signed a contract for our first knitting book, Mason-Dixon Knitting: The Curious Knitters’ Guide. Recently, we hunkered down to turn Mason-Dixon Knitting into the site we have always craved: a delicious daily read for every knitter.

We Have a Mission Our dream is to create an ever-evolving world online and in real life where knitting is celebrated, explored, and taught. With a lot of laughs along the way. At all times, we keep in mind Mason-Dixon Knitting Rule No. 1: Knitting is supposed to be fun.

Mason-Dixon Knitting brings together wonderful designers, great writers, and a community of knitters all over the world coming together with a shared love of knitting, yarn, and good design. It’s our hope to make this the ultimate rabbit hole for knitters.

  2. Amanda White says:

I enjoyed the new Google Hangout format for the podcast. It was really cool to be able to see the guests and sit in on your conversation with Ann and Kay. I’d love to get my hands on all the field guides, including Sequences! Thanks and Merry Christmas/Happy New Year to you Marly.

  3. Elizabeth M. says:

It was so fun hear Kay and Ann live! I loved their two original books so much and love reading their blog. The Sequences book looks like it might be their best yet.

  4. Mary Alice says:

I enjoyed hearing you so much and learning how Mason-Dixon knitting got its start. I am curious about what you are calling sequence knitting. I have never heard that term. On a more personal note, your experience has me wondering how I might make better use of the internet. Due to some health issues, I am not able to be out in the world as much as I would like. ‘Interenet friends’ could be wonderful.

  5. Amberly says:

I am interested in trying sequence knitting, and I’ve heard great things about Mason Dixon. Thanks for the interview!

  6. Regina S says:

I am new to knitting and the sequence knitting sounds interesting. Will definitely be looking into this one. Thanks for the podcast.
