Pom Poms have been popping up everywhere lately. Today I wanted to share with you 5 free pom pom projects that I have found that are super cute. Try one of these or another that you find today.

Pom Poms are a great way to embellish a project, use of scrap yarn and make cute decorations. There are many different ways that you can make pom poms. I prefer to use a pom pom maker as it helps me to get consistent results.

Try one of these projects for your next party or to decorate your house.

  • 600 yards of worsted weight yarn. I used 3 skeins of pink shades from Red Heart Yarns
  • Pom Pom Maker (optional)
  • 14″ or 16″ wreath form
  • Scissors
  • hot glue
  • acrylic paint to match your yarn color and paint brush (optional)
  • pretty bow (optional).

  • Brown Kraft Paper
  • Brown Sharpie
  • Ruler
  • 6″ plate or similar circle template (try a pyrex lid)
  • Twine
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • pre made 1″ red pom poms and 1 pink
  • Yarn in rainbow colors

  • Two 12” flat wood wreath forms
  • Yellow and orange acrylic paint & foam brush
  • Three skeins of yarn in white, bright yellow and orange (I used Red Heart)
  • 2 ½” pompom maker
  • 3 rolls of sheer orange/yellow striped, wire edge ribbon, Celebrate It collection

  • Black pipe cleaners (2 per spider)
  • Sharp Scissors
